Board Information

Health and Human Services
Members shall be appointed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services with the approval of the Governor. The Advisory Council shall: 1) advise the Commissioner of the Department of Mental Health on policy, program development and priorities of need in the Commonwealth for comprehensive programs in mental health; 2) participate with the Dept. in holding regular public hearings through state to obtain views of Area Boards and other citizens regarding Dept. programs and need for mental health services; and 3) to make recommendations to the Commissioner based on review of annual plan and proposed annual budget of the Department.
Term Limit: 2 | Term Length: 3
None, but each member shall be reimbursed by the commonwealth for all expenses incurred in the performance of his official duties
